Quick update regarding shark, and Imrans strategy.

Hi all,

Just a quick update regarding the shark expert advisor.. The company itself trading live at fxdd have updated their statement on their website. www.forexeasystems.com

According to my results, for the month of April the return is at 35% using the 7% risk setting.

These results are very good. I am enjoying using this expert advisor.

Regarding Imran Saits 5 min strategy. I have started trading it on 15 minutes now. Using the Moving averages as trend indicators, and taking positions based on the MA directions only.

This is working very well.. and I am trading this live also. With promising results.

I am working on something else at the moment regarding profitable systems for the blog.. But taking me some time to get things working properly.

Just to give a bit of an update on the performance thus far.. For this month, there has only been one loss, which was on the 26th.

The return is approx 80% using 7% risk, and the safety of the EA is immaculate.

I do again recommend this as a long term trading strategy for anyone wanting to trade at fxoceania. As it compounds its lots, the risk need not be increased...

Another trading system for the charts

I suppose alot of you already know of Imran saits 5 min g/j scalping method...

I use this one on occasion when I get a bit bored. Its a fantastic system for grabbing a few pips providing you really analyse your charts rather than entering blind off the indicators.

There are many details for the system in that thread.

The basic indicators (Stoch his, laguarre and macd traditional) are great for a system, but you should always refer to pivots and fibs for an entry, as well as having a good view of the trend.

I am using an indicator called fibo_Zigzag.mq4 which automatically draws zigzags and updated fib lines. I find it very useful with this system, as I dont have to constantly redraw fib points.. It also gives me good entry signals, entering off fib points and targeting fib points.. Keeps things clean.

If I am not mistaken Imran (the creator) is using trend lines + his system, which is just as good, although I am not a fantastic trendline drawer (I get lazy with them).

It is definently a system worth trying out on demo at least.

Profitable EA

Hey all,

Just a quick review of a profitable EA which a friend is using. The SHARK EA by ForexEaSystems, is a great little EA.. Although the R:R ratio is not entirely ''safe'' (it turns out to be 4 wins : 1 loss) the hit rate is high enough to cover any losses.

The EA according to its creators is based on 12 indicators, pivot points and fib lines. Although i haven't been able to confirm it.

Only a total upside down turn of the market (maybe 5 months of fundamental volatility) would wipe it out. On my journeys doing due diligence on this EA. I have not found one non profitable case.
The worst results have been reported on interbankfx, I would say this has to do with their excessive feed smoothing and price averaging.. This would effect the EA, as well as their ridiculous spread increases. But the users using this EA there are still managing to profit from it.

The EA has been working exceptionally well at fxoceania. And I will be using it in a months time on a live account.

There is a live statement from the creators there, I think using a higher risk setting, although impressive never the less.

So if you decide to purchase this EA, I am sure you will encounter no problems using it at FXopen.

My recommendation for this is to start with a 2k account size, and trade 2-5% risk level.
